Data overview page improvements
You can now sort the children of a warehouse object, including alphabetically.
Sometimes a feature that seems so simple can make the biggest difference.
Our latest update is one of those. For a long time, we sorted the children of a warehouse object (the databases in a source, the tables in a schema, and so on) by the number of active incidents on the child object. This was great, because you could see what databases, schemas, tables, or columns might need attention. This was also bad, because when you’re looking for something in particular, a list sorted by the number of active incidents was not very easy to parse.
We’re delighted to announce that you can now sort the children on a data entity page by several different things: the number of incidents, the number of queries, the number of downstream entities, and (a highly-requested one) alphabetically.
We’ve also made a few small tweaks to the UI of the page to give those lists just a little more room to breathe.
