Metaplane has been acquired by Datadog, bringing software and data obseravbility closer together. Here are some answers to common questions.

What will happen with my existing Metaplane service?
Metaplane will continue as a standalone product under “Metaplane by Datadog,” with all features, support, and services uninterrupted, with at least 3 months of notice for any changes.
What will happen with my existing Metaplane contract?
Metaplane will continue to honor all pricing and packaging in contracts for existing customers.
What if I use Datadog? How will Datadog and Metaplane work together?
- We'll be executing on a unified vision for Metaplane and Datadog: a single source of observability across both software and data. This will connect data quality directly to its upstream sources using products like Data Streams Monitoring, Data Jobs Monitoring, and Application Performance Monitoring, giving teams the complete picture they need to be proactive.
- We’ll be reaching out to every current Metaplane customer to discuss and understand how this change can benefit their unique situation.
What if I don’t use Datadog?
Metaplane will continue to support new customers who aren’t existing Datadog customers.
